A few days ago we wrapped production on 12 spots for Dubai development monster's Emaar with director/producer Gary Nadeau. This was both Khalid and my first time working with Gary and it was an absolute pleasure. Gary had actually been trying to work with us for months but our schedules were always conflicting. Thankfully, this job fell in place at the perfect time for Khalid and I as Dubai is on the way to India which is where we start production on a feature in just a couple of days. Our crew on this job was one of the most fun/hardworking group of guys I have every worked with. Along with the 5 of us from the states, we had an amazing G&E crew from Action Filmz along with local production support from Alchemy Films. Below is a picture of the NYC crew hanging out on the top of the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa.

Given the fact that the client, Emaar, owns half of Dubai, we shot in some of the most prestigious locations that not many people are given access too. A few of my favorites were; The Armani Prive, The Adress Hotel, Neos, and Burj Khalifa. DP Ben Jacks did a great job managing his team and lighting the vast array of locations we had throughout the week long shoot. This is one of the first gigs that Khalid and I have been on where we weren't "DP's" and I must say it was an absolute pleasure working with Ben. Ben was always open to our suggestions so we were always able to help each other out and sneak as much creativity in there as possible. By the 2nd Day Khalid and I were itching to light some scenes and fortunately we got to do so since the schedule was pretty tight.

Overall this was a great experience and I am very glad that we got to collaborate with Gary Nadeau, he is the man.
